Dragon Boat Race Eglisau

What began in 1992 in Eglisau on the picturesque town on the Rhine river, is no longer an insider tip, but still incredibly charming. Every last weekend in June, Eglisau is dedicated to the dragon. With over 80 teams, the Eglisau Dragon Boat Race is not only the biggest race in Switzerland, it is also one of the oldest annual races in Europe. If you take a closer look, you will meet many stars from other sports who will compete with their team in a dragon boat. But watch out: If you want to take part, you have to be very fast on 1 April, noon. The race is sold out within a few minutes:

ESCA paddle for Cancer Support Dragon Boat Festival
ESCA Cancer Support was founded in 2000 in French-speaking Switzerland as a non-profit organization. The organization helps free of charge all English-speaking people who affected by cancer and their relatives in dealing with the disease. To raise awareness for the good cause, but also to raise money for the organization, ESCA Cancer Support organizes an annual dragon boat race in close cooperation with dragonboatevents on the first Sunday in September at the Lac de Joux:
